First Day of Preschool

Marcela's first day of preschool pictures. She was excited about going to school, playing with babies, eating snacks and taking her backpack (that she picked out herself). We got there this morning and met with her brazilian friend, Lucas, who is also in her class. They were giving each other moral support by holding hands. There was chapel before class. Kids were invited to go up on the stage for worship and baby Marcela was up there dancing and clapping as if she had done that many times before. Then she walked to class with her little friends and didn't even look back to say good bye to momma. When it was time to pick her up, she was cheesing waiting for momma at the door. We got to the car, she sang for a while (I discovered she enjoys classical music in the car), counted up to 8 and fell asleep. She has been asleep for almost 5 hours....a long nap after her first day of school.

As tradicionais fotos do primeiro dia de aula. A Marcela estava empolgadissima para comecar a ir a escola. Ela dizia que ia brincar com bebes, comer lanchinho e levar a mochila que ela mesma escolheu. Nos chegamos la hoje de manha, encontramos com o amiguinho brasileiro que esta na mesma sala que ela, o Lucas e os dois entraram de maos dadas na escola, para darem apoio moral um ao outro. As tercas, antes das aulas comecarem, tem capela. Eles convidaram as criancas para subirem no palco para a hora da musica e claro que a Marcela subiu, dancou, cantou, como se ja tivesse feito isso muitas vezes. Depois andamos todos ate a sala de aula e ela nem deu tchau, ja largou a mochila e foi brincar. Na hora da saida, ela estava me esperando na porta toda sorridente. Entramos no carro, ela cantou algumas musicas (descobri que ela aprecia musica classica no carro), contou ate 8 em ingles e dormiu. A soneca da tarde ja dura 5 horas...uma longa soneca depois do primeiro dia de aula.
